Specifcations

How to keep your curing light Clean and Sterilized for use on patients:Detachable Light guides – APROPOS Use required

  • Always use single-use barrier sleeves each use, but bacteria will collect along the base of the light guide. Use Apropos 2 X Daily to completely sterilize.
  • Never use damaged light guides, APROPOS will prevent this from happening during 2 X Daily Sterilization Practices.
  • When a single-use barrier sleeve is not being used, remove contamination with a soft brush or cloth; remove stuck on composite with alcohol and/or a plastic spatula…Or Autoclave Sterilize with APROPOS immediately.
  • Cleaning and disinfection are essential for effective sterilization until Autoclave Sterilization can be done; ONLY Autoclave Steam Sterilization is OSHA Approved.
  • Autoclaving light guides with APROPOS will Protect your Light Guide and completely Sterilize. *Autoclave Sterilization should be done at the lunch hour and/or close of day.

Fixed light tips (Unfortunately, these can NOT be Autoclaved as it is a Permanent part of the curing light. APROPOS can NOT be used, but below are recommended guidelines)

  • Fixed light tips are exactly what they sound like—a permanent part of the curing light—so what you do to the tip effects the entire unit.
  • Always use single-use barrier sleeves.
  • After each use, carefully remove the sleeve so that it doesn’t touch the light.
  • Don’t submerge the device in water or other liquids.
  • Don’t allow any liquid or foreign substances to enter the handpiece.
  • Don’t clean or disinfect with highly aggressive agents.
  • If a fixed light tip is damaged, you’ll need to replace the entire curing light.
